We are a growing patient-centered practice that is looking for a FULL TIME,  Nurse Manager with our Primary Care team in Coeur d'Alene, ID.


The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily back office clinic operations at the clinic. Provides oversight and supervision of the clinical support staff including Nurses, Medical Assistants, LPNs, and other allied staff as assigned.  Is responsible for orientation and competency training for clinical staff at the clinic. The Nurse Manager supports the Quality Assurance program and other organizational wide initiatives.


In this role, you will be:
  • Supervise the performance of the back office clinical staff for quality patient care, good nursing skills, and smooth clinic flow.
    1. Interviews and evaluates nurses/medical assistants/allied health staff as necessary.
    2. Nurse evaluations (probationary and ongoing).
    3. Schedule nursing in-services as needed
    4. Provide for adequate and thorough orientation for all new nursing/medical assistant employees at clinic sites.
    5. Provide nurses/medical assistants with proper instructions prior to use of all new equipment
    6. Communicate continuously with nursing staff for clinic changes
    7. Train all medical assistants in the use of EMR
  • Administrative duties:
    1. Attend management/faculty/other meetings as scheduled
    2. Participate on committees as necessary
    3. Be an EMR Super User
    4. Order supplies/KMC Meds/MMN medications                                                                                                                                                
  • Participates in nursing leadership activities to improve quality of practice and education.
  • May participate in interdisciplinary leadership committees.
  • Works to ensure a positive and collegial work environment and professional work ethic by all staff.
  • Ensure all work areas are OSHA and HIPAA compliant.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and conflict resolution with clinic staff.
  • Heritage Health staff have an active role in our Patient Centered Medical Home model of care. This role is designated as part of the Heritage Health PCMH Care Team.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Performs all other duties as requested.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with current active Idaho state license.
  • Five years ambulatory care experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience is strongly preferred.
