The mission of Heritage Health is to deliver a healthcare experience that provides hope, inspires change and extends life for our patients and our community. We are a growing patient-centered practice who is looking for a Medical Records Clerk in Coeur d'Alene.

The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the files included in a patient’s health information portfolio, including medical history, symptoms, examination results, diagnostic tests, treatment methods, and other services.

Minimum eligibility and qualifications:
No minimum qualifications, however medical office experience/education preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Scan paperwork and file in EMR charts
  2. Search for charts requested by the Medical Assistants, providers, etc
  3. Sort in-coming faxes in EMR and route appropriately
  4. Copy and send charts to outside Provider offices
  5. Print dictation report and get tapes ready for transcription, if not Dragon dictation.
  6. Answer phones and give information to caller; releases, referrals, etc
  7. Deliver incoming faxes to medical assistants
  8. Other duties as assigned
